CIVIL RIGHTS/PUBLIC SECTOR DEFENSE LITIGATION

Since the inception of the civil rights movement, statutory laws and judicial interpretations of the Constitution, which were intended to benefit those whose legitimate rights have been violated, have been abused by individuals and business entities attempting to obtain financial gain by claiming violation of their civil rights. From prisoners suing for alleged deprivation of medical care to developers claiming wrongful refusal to approve land development plans, Dell, Moser, Lane & Loughney, LLC defends a wide variety of civil rights and public sector liability claims. We defend political subdivisions, county governments, public officials, authorities, commissions, correctional facilities and a host of other public entities from civil rights and other public liability claims in both Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Recent decisions of the United States Supreme Court have provided excellent opportunities for early dismissal of some claims, particularly First Amendment claims asserted by various public sector employees.
