Donald J. McCormick has been a member of the law firm since 1989. He began his litigation career after receiving an appointment as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania handling lawsuits involving real property damages and business losses in the field of eminent domain. Since that time, he has been in private practice as a civil trial lawyer with extensive experience representing individuals and businesses in a wide variety of areas including: Residential, commercial and industrial premises liability, Toxic torts involving exposure to chemicals, dusts and fibers Products liability involving consumer products as well as commercial and industrial machinery, equipment and vehicles, Environmental law, Professional liability, Multi-vehicle accidents, Fire claims and related losses, Insurance law. Within the areas listed above, Mr. McCormick has dealt with all facets of physical and psychological injury, property damage, business and financial loss and damage to real property. Mr. McCormick is an invited member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County. He has participated in the Academy program to reduce the county court docket by acting as a mediator and sitting as a judge, hearing jury and non-jury cases. He is a member of the litigation section of the Allegheny County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
